At over 200 years old, Fox Brothers are officially credited as the original creators of flannel. The synergy between the two companies made it the perfect pairing for this special project.

Mastermind is a cutting edge Japanese luxury fashion company for men of style, offering an eclectic mix of urban, contemporary items, produced to the highest quality. Like Globe-Trotter, the craftmanship of the products is integral to the brand, utilising traditional Japanese artisan skills to create cutting edge fabrics from intricate weaving, to ancient braiding techniques.

The Globe-Trotter and Mastermind case is hand crafted in England, using black vulcanized fibreboard and black leather trim, finished with a screen printed Mastermind logo. Inside, the case has been lined with an exclusive camouflage print featuring the iconic Mastermind skull and cross bone logo embedded into the pattern, developed specially by Mastermind for Globe-Trotter. This limited edition includes a gold foil, black leather luggage tag and gift box.

The collection includes 20″ Suitcase £925, 30″ Suitcase with wheels £1,250 and 33″ Suitcase with wheels £1,325.

The leather factory has been operating for 28 years, and currently has three generations of the Fitzpatrick family involved at every stage of the process. This knowledge and passion has ensured that as much care and attention to detail goes into making these products as the suitcase series.

The collection is available exclusively at the Globe-Trotter flagship store, and includes a Coat Wallet £185, Bill Fold Wallet £140, Business Card Holder £90, Oyster Card Holder £70 and Luggage Tag £50. All are available in Black, Navy, Tan, Brown and Burgundy.

Hector’s style is unique and draws inspiration from people, buildings, vehicles and animals. Having grown up reading the Tintin and Asterix comic books, he has been exploring his creativity since he was a child, developing his style with a twist of gentle humour and eye for detail. His illustrations begin life as simple line drawings, which are gradually built into grander scenes, and are usually coloured digitally. Hector’s talent landed him a place as a finalist in the Macmillan children’s book competition of 2011 for his book ‘Eggsodus’ concerning the life of beings on an overcrowded planet.

The series of seven illustrations captures the essence of Globe-Trotter travel and the spirit of adventure.

The stunning print is inspired from Erdem’s months of Research into the Ballets Russes dance movement form the early 1900’s, pouring over the V&A’s extensive library of magazines from the Thirties, photographing arresting textile pages, then manipulated and distorting the colourful images.

Produced in fine silk twill, the “Diaghilev Flower” print has bright pops of Russian red, green, and lemon yellow, stemming from photographs of original stage sets and backdrops from Russian ballets. This edition series arrives in Navy vulcanized fibreboard body, optional Lime or Navy leather trim continuing a classic twist on Globe-Trotter’s classic converted design.

Retaining the philosophy of the core hand-made suitcase line Globe-Trotter is known for, the 1897 series is designed in-house with the manufacture firmly rooted in England.

However the 1897 project is the first-ever collection that will remain integral to the ongoing product offer and has been created exclusively in-house to retain the design values of a Globe-Trotter suit case; ‘Elegant Simplicity’. Design specifics reflect that of the core collection; corners follow the same uniformed radius of a Globe-Trotter suitcase, hardware is kept to a minimum with rivets to reinforce leather handles and leather ‘d-rings’ where required. Branding is kept clean in crisp Metallic gold foil, ‘GLOBE TROTTER 1897’, respectably positioned to the front of each bag.

Available in colourways of Black, Navy, Olive, and Tan, the collection comprises of four bag styles; Boston weekend travel bag in carry-on size with detachable shoulder strap, priced at £745. The Brief, ideal for business use with inner laptop compartment, padded base and detachable shoulder strap, at £465. The Tote-shopper with over-the-shoulder drop handle, priced at £435.

A specific style for women arrives in the form of the east/west Tote, with drop-in zip and over-the-shoulder drop handle, priced at £475.
